Light in Motion: Being Our Best, Without Leaving Any Part Behind

What does it really mean to be our best selves?

Maybe it isn’t about shining only the polished parts. Maybe being our best means being whole — welcoming the soft wounds, the jagged edges, the shadows we once believed disqualified us from the light.

I am not here to be perfect.
I am light in motion — moving, breaking, loving, healing, remembering.
I am not seeking purity; I am practicing wholeness.

I forgive the ghosts in my bones.
I remember the boy and the man, the father and the lover.
I am the artist of the divine, and this human life is my canvas.

Wholeness Over Perfection

To be our best self isn’t to escape our “worst” parts — it’s to bring them home.

  • Anger may be the doorway to passion

  • Shame may be the longing to be seen as we truly are

  • Fear often guards what we love most

  • Grief is proof that we cared deeply

When we stop dividing ourselves into good or bad, holy or broken, we return to something true. Wholeness isn’t fixing — it’s embracing. It’s allowing every part of us to serve love.

The Body Knows

The body is our first altar. It whispers before the mind shouts.

It speaks through:

  • Breath

  • Sensation

  • Tightness and softening

  • Pulse and rhythm

  • Tears and trembling

It knows when to rest.
It knows when to create.
It knows when it’s time to let go.
To heal — is to listen.

Tools to Practice Wholeness

1. Shadow Letter
Write to a part of you you’ve rejected. Don’t fix it. Just say:
I see you. I’m listening.

2. Body Scan + Breath
One hand on your heart, one on your belly. Ten slow breaths. Ask:
What is here right now?

3. Movement as Medicine
Play a song that stirs something inside you. Let the body respond. No choreography. Just truth in motion.

4. The “And” Practice
Not I am strong or broken, but
I am strong and broken and still becoming.

Your Turn — Share Your Story

What part of you have you been hiding that actually holds your light?

When did your “worst” moment become a doorway to something sacred?

Share in the comments, message me, or whisper it to yourself if that’s where it begins. Your story matters.
