Queerness and Fatherhood

My Earth Initiations and the Birth of Queer Ceremonies & initiations

There are moments when life places us directly inside the fire, not to burn us, but to reveal who we have always been. Queerness and fatherhood arrived in my life not as two separate chapters, but as one intertwined initiation. A double initiation. My Earth initiations. They pushed me into manhood, into my humanity, and into a deeper recognition of the divine that had been waiting quietly inside me.

The Illusion of Opposites

I once believed these paths could not co-exist. That queerness lived on one side of my soul and fatherhood on the other, separated by an old story that never truly belonged to me. But life is a patient teacher and duality dissolves the moment we are brave enough to face ourselves honestly.

Shame and Guilt as Mirrors

These initiations were not soft. They arrived with the heat of shame, the sting of guilt, the discomfort of old wounds rising to the surface. Yet none of these were punishments. They were mirrors. They showed me where I was still hiding, even from myself. They revealed the man, the father, and the queer being I already was, waiting to be lived fully.

Every fear became a portal.
Every portal carried me deeper into love.

Health is acceptance.
Vitality is truth telling.
Hiding is a sickness that drains the soul of its light.

Oneness and the True Self Revealed

Through these Earth initiations I learned that queerness and fatherhood were never in conflict. They were guiding me toward oneness. Toward freedom. Toward becoming the version of myself that had always been encoded in my bones.

And as I stepped deeper into this truth, something awakened in me. A medicine that is uniquely queer. A medicine our elders carried quietly. A medicine our younger selves longed for. A medicine that lives in our bodies even when the world tries to silence it.

The Birth of Queer Initiations

This is the medicine I now offer back to the world through queer initiations.
Guided online ceremonies of self acceptance.
Trauma informed queer friendly spaces.
Retreats and workshops that invite the queer soul, the artist, the mystic, and the child in us to breathe and to be freed.
Spaces where we unlearn shame together and rise into the beauty of who we are becoming.

A Calling to Our Queer Island and Beyond

To my queer community across the world, and especially here on our queer island Sri Lanka, this work is for you. This medicine is yours. It is time to recognise the sacred force we carry within us. Time to let it speak, heal, guide, and reshape the world through our rainbow bodies and remembering hearts.

An Invitation to Ceremony

If this speaks to you, you are already part of the circle.
Join me next week for an online queer initiation and ceremony of self acceptance, a gathering of truth, tenderness, and rebirth.
Comment “queer medicine” on my post to receive the details and the full link to join.

Gratitude and a Call to Share

For those who feel called to go deeper, I offer Inner Alchemy sessions and one on one queer wellness journeys. These sessions are spaces of remembrance, self acceptance, and healing, where we dissolve old patterns, meet our shadows with compassion, and awaken the medicine already living inside us. If your soul feels the pull, reach out. Your path is already unfolding.

A heartfelt thank you to Yonel for these powerful images and for witnessing and documenting my transformative journey through his art of photography and storytelling. If this message moves you, share it with your queer friends and allies and repost it in solidarity and love so this medicine can ripple through our communities and beyond.
